With 15 years in administrative and customer service roles within the car industry, Tammy joined the team at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre in May 2017 and has moved into the role as the Comptroller. Tammy is married to Mark and together they have two children and three grandchildren. An avid Jets fan, Tammy enjoys her summers fishing and spending time outdoors with her husband.

Franca joined the team at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre in 2010. 

She is married to Clay and enjoys spending time with their two children.

She currently manages our office looking after all aspects of our business. Franca also enjoys working with families to create unique tributes.

Before working at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre; Franca was an office manager for an audiovisual company for over 10 years and has over 20 years experience in office administration.

Alanna joined the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre team in 2023 bringing two years of previous funeral home and cemetery experience along with a degree in business administration.

Alanna enjoys hiking with her dog Shia, spending time with her family at the lake and is a proud aunty to three nephews.

Neil Avery, Funeral Assistant

Neil retired in 2010 from the City of Winnipeg after 33 years of service. He spent the last 14 years as the Senior Foreman overseeing the maintenance and operations of the three municipal cemeteries. He began as Funeral Assistant at Neil Bardal Funeral Home in February 2011.

He has a great interest in sports, both as a spectator and a participant. Neil was inducted into the Manitoba baseball hall of fame in 2014.
He enjoys meeting and talking to people and finds it to be a very rewarding aspect in his life.

Neil is married to wife Josie and they have two children, Kristin and Paul.

Ray Rieu, Funeral Assistant

Ray retired from the City of Winnipeg in May of 2011 after 36 years of service where he spent most of his career as Foreman at Brookside Cemetery. He joined Neil Bardal Funeral Centre in 2012 as a Funeral Assistant. Ray enjoys keeping busy with small engine repairs and building new projects around his yard. He is an avid hockey fan and especially enjoys watching his favourite teams, the Montreal Canadians and Winnipeg Jets. Ray is married to his wife Janice and has two children who have given him his most special gifts...three grandchildren...Jaxon, Kolt, Kaydance.

Don retired from the City of Winnipeg and joined our staff in 2012 as a Funeral Assistant.

Paddy Douglass, Funeral Assistant

Paddy Douglass left the employ of the Canadian Army in the fall of 2015 after 42 years of service. His last assignment with the Military included duty as Aide de Camp to Her Honour, the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, which was how he was recognized by Neil Bardal staff as a prospect. He began as a Funeral Assistant in October, 2015.

Paddy remains an active member of the community as the president of the Army Cadet League of Canada (Manitoba), a Governor on the Board of Governors of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, a member of the board of the Stephenson Britannia Adult Learning Centre, and a member of the Senate of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and the Advisory Board of the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders.

He enjoys his employment with Neil Bardal as another opportunity connect with fellow Manitobans as a natural continuance of his tradition of service to community.

Paddy is married to wife Tracy and they have two grown children, Karin and Sarah.

Les Langner, Funeral Assistant

Les joined NBI after a 32 year career in the life insurance industry as a Financial advisor with Faithlife Financial (Lutheran Life insurance society of Canada).

He had accreditations including CLU, CHFC and FIC. Les graduated from Whitemouth collegiate and received his diploma in Business Administration from Red River Community college. 

Les married his lovely wife Theresa, and they have 2 adult children, Jeremy and Stacie.

Les is a long-time member of Grace Lutheran church, a Winnipeg Blue Bomber season ticket holder, a proud Jets fan, and a lousy golfer.

Les Creek, Funeral Assistant

After a 40 year career in information systems management, Les retired in 2015, and joined Neil Bardal a year later. As well as assisting at funerals, he became an audio visual specialist with Neil Bardal, and is pleased to be able to provide technical support to our client families.

He is married to his wife Dorothy, and has a daughter and 2 grandchildren, who reside here in Winnipeg.

Elaine Nowell, Hostess

Having lived in Winnipeg her whole life, Elaine was employed with Nabisco Foods for 25 years until they closed, and then ventured out into the catering business. Elaine’s enjoyment in working weddings, socials, BBQ’s, and at Rae & Jerry’s brought her to her current role as a Hostess for the past 10 years at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre. She finds much gratification in being part of the Neil Bardal family.

Janice Rieu, Hostess

Janice retired from Dyna Pro Environment as an Administrative Assistant in 2012 to start her best job yet...to be a full time Gramma. She provided care for her grandchildren so her two children could return to work full time and has enjoyed every moment with them. She started at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre in 2019 as a hostess. Janice enjoys arts and crafts, spending time with her family, making her yard look beautiful with her ever growing solar lights collection, and traveling with her husband and co-worker Ray.

Donalee Isfjord, Hostess

After 40 years of customer service in the financial industry Donalee retired and joined the NBI team in April 2016. She is married and has one son. She enjoys road trip holidays, cross country skiing and jigsaw puzzles.

Anna Troia, Hostess

After retiring from the Bakery Industry, Anna joined Neil Bardal Funeral Centre in June of 2010. She is married and has 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Her greatest joy is spending time with the family. She enjoys cooking, gardening and travelling. Anna enjoys working at Neil Bardal helping families.
